BREVA MARINE S.R.L (hereinafter also BREVA MARINE) wishes to inform you that, pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (hereinafter 'European Regulation'), it is necessary to process the personal data collected automatically or provided through your browsing or use of the website www.brevamarine.com (hereinafter, 'Website').

The Data Controller is BREVA MARINE SRL - Sole Shareholder Company, represented by its legal representative, with registered office at Viale Emilia 83A, 20093 Cologno Monzese (MI), Italy.

  • TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED

Data voluntarily provided by the user 

BREVA MARINE collects and will process the Personal Data you directly and knowingly provide through the Website when placing your online purchase order, and/or registering on the Website and/or subscribing to BREVA MARINE's newsletter service, and/or making a request to our Customer Service, as well as those possibly provided by filling in the customer form at a BREVA MARINE retail outlet and/or during a trade fair event. Such data include, for example, first and last name, postal address and e-mail address, telephone number and date of birth. Furthermore, the optional, explicit and voluntary sending of e-mails through the Website and/or to the addresses indicated on the Website entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender's address, necessary to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data included in the message sent.

Browsing data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate the Website acquire, during their normal operation, certain personal data (defined as log files) whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. Such information is not collected to be associated with identified data subjects but, by its very nature, could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users connecting to the Website, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the server's response (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user's operating system and IT environment. These data are used solely for the purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the Website and to check its correct functioning.

Furthermore, with your prior consent, Personal Data may be included in BREVA MARINE's customer database and processed, together with details of your purchases, for the following purposes:

  • PROCESSING METHODS

Personal Data will be processed using appropriate electronic or otherwise automated, computerized and telematic tools, or by manual paper processing, with logic strictly related to the purposes for which the personal data were collected and, in any case, in such a way as to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data. Personal Data will be processed by BREVA MARINE's internal staff duly authorized to process them as part of their assigned job duties, and, where necessary and/or instrumental for the execution of the above purposes, by external parties acting on behalf of BREVA MARINE as external Data Processors (e.g., service providers, shippers, technicians performing maintenance of IT services, companies BREVA MARINE may use for the creation and/or management of promotional campaigns for its products or services, etc.).


We also inform you that, should you consent to the processing of your Personal Data for the purposes referred to in points (c) and (d) of paragraph 2, your data will automatically be visible to and/or shared with all BREVA MARINE Group stores (within and outside the European Union), adopting all appropriate security and confidentiality measures required by the relevant applicable regulations.

  • NATURE OF PROVISION

Processing of your data for the purposes referred to in points (c) and (d) of paragraph 3 is subject to your explicit consent. Any refusal to provide consent will have no other consequence than our inability to offer you a personalized service and inform you about initiatives that may be of interest to you and/or send you any other commercial information about BREVA MARINE's products, initiatives and events.

  • DATA DISCLOSURE AND DISSEMINATION

Your Personal Data, insofar as necessary and/or instrumental to the execution of the above purposes, may be processed on behalf of BREVA MARINE by external parties acting as Data Processors belonging to the following categories:

  • Authorized BREVA MARINE dealers;
  • Companies, consultants and professional firms providing assistance and/or consulting services, or performing, on behalf of BREVA MARINE, services connected and instrumental to the purposes of data processing.

Your Data may be transferred abroad in accordance with applicable law, including to countries outside the European Union where the Company pursues its interests, adopting the security measures and precautions necessary to ensure an adequate level of data security.

Personal Data will not be used for promotional purposes of third parties or relating to products, services or initiatives not originating from BREVA MARINE, and will in no case be disclosed to unspecified parties.

  • DATA RETENTION PERIOD 

Your personal data will be processed and stored for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which they were collected and in compliance with the retention periods provided for by applicable regulations, or until you withdraw your consent given for processing where applicable. Thereafter, the personal data will be automatically deleted or permanently anonymized.

  • DATA SUBJECT’S RIGHTS

We remind you that at any time you may exercise the rights provided for in Articles 15 to 21 of the GDPR and, in particular, request information on the existence and characteristics of the processing of personal data, their rectification and deletion, or limitation of processing, object to processing and/or request the transfer of your personal data to another controller.

You will also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without prejudice to the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal, and to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority, Piazza di Montecitorio no. 121, 00186, Rome (RM), Italy.
